Handcrafted Magic

I'm Loren, and I've been a practicing witch for over 25 years. My practice is rooted in Norse and Celtic traditions, grounded in history, and built around all the things that I genuinely love; cord magic, botanical craft, and arts and witchy crafting, plus I love the kind of magic that has dirt under its fingernails.

I live in the mountains of East Tennessee with my forever love, a houseful of animals, and apothecary garden that keeps getting bigger, and more herbs drying in the rafters than is probably reasonable. I also volunteer my time working at a local raptor habitat.

My shop, Primitive Witchery, grew out of my practice. Everything that I make here comes from the same place my personal magic does, from real research, real materials, and my love and respect for the spirits and nature around me.

I started out on Etsy so many years ago and quickly became the best seller for captured fairy light jars, maintaining a five star rating. My spell bottles have been featured in Disney's Hocus Pocus 2, and my book "The Crafty Witch's Guide to Cord Magic" is coming from Red Wheel/Weiser in July of 2026.

When you follow Primitive Witchery, you're not just following a shop. You're getting a practitioner who's still actively working, still learning (because you should always be learning), and genuinely excited to bring you along.
